Author Business Cards

2

I just got my new author business cards this weekend, and I couldn’t be happier. I ordered a set of 500 cards through Vista Print. The whole thing (including shipping) only cost me $11.98.

I was able to design the card myself and include photos of each one of my books. I also was able to put my name, email address, and website on the card. These were the items I felt were most important.

The cards came on time and the quality is great. I couldn’t believe how inexpensive and convenient it was to do it this way. If you’re considering getting business cards yourself, I would recommend designing them yourself. But if you’re not graphically inclined, Vista Print also offers several templates to choose from. You can also choose to put something on the back of the card. (I left mine blank on the back.)

I feel it’s important for any author to have a set of business cards. When I send out one of my books (or even a proposal) the business card gives someone a way to remember me. They don’t have to look through my book for information on where to find me, or google me to find my website. They have the information right there in front of them in the form of a card.
