Enjoy this interview.
Where are you from and how long have you been writing?
I reside in the Midwest, specifically a suburb of Chicago. Writing was an art that I “stubble” upon about six years ago. While teaching at a school several teachers were discussing trying to do something new for our Christmas program. After some encouragement I created a poem for this program, and since that day I have been writing.
Tell us about your latest book.
My book entitled The Love Story retells the biblical story of Jesus Christ. With the story beginning in heaven with God and Jesus having a conversation about his coming to earth, to share God’s love. The Love Story was created in an innovative and creative manner to reach the minds of young children; using modest language and vibrant illustrations.
Since The Love Story was written for children, I hope the reader and listener recognize the sacrifice of love given by God. As well as, recognizing that just as there are love stories between children and parents; God also has a love story. Wherein, the book is entitled The Love Story.
Share some of your writing goals.
My writing goal is to write and publish more books, not only for children; but also adults. Wherein, I am expanding my writing abilities into other areas of literacy.
What’s next for you?
Currently, I am finalizing a new book, which is schedule for release mid-Summer, 2015. It is also a children’s book.
Book you’re currently reading?
Presently, I am reading AHA (awakening, honesty, action) written by Kye Idleman. This book shares how everyone has an AHA moment in their life. How important it is to recognize these moments and what to do about them when they come.
What do you like to do when you’re not writing?
When I am not writing I enjoy spending time with my family and watching cartoons. I am a big kid at art.
What is one of the things you’re most thankful for as a writer?
Some of the things I’m most as a writer are having the ability to create. It is phenomenal how simple words can be brought to life to construct a story. You are being taken to place to places when you are writing; with your mind expanding beyond the pages or computer on which you are writing. Being a writer is a rewarding career, because people see a part of you as a person in between the pages.
Where can we learn more about you?
