Covers I Love: August 2015

This one really stood out for me. With all the pre-made covers I’ve been seeing I think the artwork on here makes this one pop.

I like the colors and use of models on this one. I’ve been seeing books that use stock images as people on the cover and as those get used more often I think a book cover like this one (that has the body but not full face of the model) will stand out more. It caught my eye at least.

This cover’s artwork stands out, the colors are not the usual these days (with the trend of going to more bold red and blues) and the image of the head, pearls, and flowers gives you just the right vibe on what to expect for the content.

With the multitude of pre-made covers on the market, a graphic design like this one stands out.

  1. What a beautiful book! I would love to try some of the very interesting and different recipes! My favorite food moment is really more than one moment-my grandmother always knew how much I love Dewberry pie and she always made me one when I visited. She would even save me a box of dewberries in the freezer so I could have one when I was there for Christmas. When I have a house of my own I hope to take a cutting from her Dewberry plants and start some of my own!

  2. Heather G – I am very interested in project life because I like how simple it makes the process of capturing everyday memories. I especially like the journal cards because I think you could carry around a box of them and then jot down notes/quotes/funny things on them during the week and incorporate into your binder later. I haven’t started project life yet due to financial issues, but I would love to do it.

  3. – Oh I love it and love slip n slide images! I so am in love with the first image! And have you taken a run down it yet??!! I’ve found they are much more difficult in my 30s than when I was 5!!! Very refreshing!

  5. I’ve now updated the plug-in so that you shouldn’t see that any more.As far as I can tell from , they rate-limit by IP address, not by site. So if there are other sites calling Twitter from the same server, they might trigger the problem.Does that sound possible?
