<p>A few months ago I had the chance to <a href="http://www.blisstree.com/articles/interview-with-stephen-viscusi-author-of-bulletproof-your-job-155/">interview Stephen Viscusi,</a> author of <span style="font-weight: bold;">Bulletproof Your Job</span>.<span id="more-87"></span></p>
<p><iframe src="http://rcm.amazon.com/e/cm?t=wwwthediffere-20&#038;o=1&#038;p=8&#038;l=as1&#038;asins=0061713600&#038;fc1=000000&#038;IS2=1&#038;lt1=_blank&#038;m=amazon&#038;lc1=0000FF&#038;bc1=000000&#038;bg1=FFFFFF&#038;f=ifr" style="width:120px;height:240px;" scrolling="no" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" frameborder="0"></iframe></p>
<p>One of the things that struck me about that interview was that he said the idea for his book came to him after doing a radio interview on recession proofing your job. He got so many emails after that, he knew it would make a great idea for a book.</p>

<p>Sometimes ideas to come to us all on our own. In my latest book. <a href="http://www.bonjourpublishing.com/contact.html"><span style="font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;">21 Simple Things You Can Do To Help Someone With Diabetes</span></a>, I write about things that people have said or commented on in my experience being diabetic. Twenty years ago I wouldn&#8217;t have thought that I would have done a book like that, because at the time all I was writing back then was fiction and poetry.</p>
<p>It goes to show you that when an idea knocks on your door, you should open the door and let it in. Sometimes the world tells us what kind of books it wants from us.</p>
